Charles A. Knell is an attorney with over thirty (30) years of private practice in Montana and California. Mr. Knell is a certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California. He is a member of the State Bar of California and of Montana. Mr. Knell's private practice centers on the passage of wealth to future generations using the most sophisticated methods available, and includes charitable tax planning, business succession planning, and elder law. He has served as Vice President, Wealth, and Estate & Trust Consulting for Davidson Trust Co. and Davidson Companies.

Mr. Knell grew up in Billings, Montana, went to Carroll College in Helena, Montana and received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana. He has taught Business Law, Real Estate and Estate Planning courses at Foothill College in Los Altos, California.

Mr. Knell is admitted to practice in all Federal and State Courts in Montana and California. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Knell's experience includes working for the Internal Revenue Service as an Estate Tax Attorney in San Francisco, where he served as a District Conferee on their appellate staff. He has been awarded the highest accolade in Martindale-Hubbell, which is based upon the opinion of other legal professionals in the community. In 1998, he was recognized as a Distinguished Volunteer Fundraiser by the Silicon Valley Chapter of the National Society of Fund Raising Executives.
